Fellowship
We enjoy our fellowship with one another whether we are participating in small, informal gatherings or larger, more organized events like the MUMM Golf Tournament for Missions, softball teams, Family Night at the Ball Park (Jumbo Shrimp Game), Men’s Annual Low Country Boil & Oyster Roast and Men’s Annual Steak ‘N’ Spud Night!
Service
We enjoy serving Jesus Christ through our Church, the Mandarin community, and the city of Jacksonville in a wide variety of ways. Our efforts include our 40+Year Christmas Tree Ministry, Mandarin Food Bank, Tool Belts United, Trinity Freedom Farm LifeSkills seminar, Parking Lot Ministry, Easter Pancake Breakfast for the Church and community, and Promotion Sunday Back-To-School School Supply Drive.
Spiritual Growth
We offer regular opportunities for spiritual growth for men to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Mandarin UMC has sent more men to the Annual UMM Conference Retreat in Leesburg annually than any other UMM in Florida for the last 5 years! On a weekly basis, we have small Accountability Groups, Wednesday morning Men’s Bible Study and Prayer Group, as well as breakfast groups with devotions in local restaurants. We also offer men’s ministry training classes
What our pastors have to say about Mandarin UMM:
Debbie McLeod:
“United Methodist Men have been one of the highlights of my first seven years at Mandarin UMC. I have served four churches as pastor, and two districts as superintendent, and I have never seen a more vital men’s ministry than Mandarin, Jacksonville. When churches are growing, they invite men to teach, cook, fix things, coach, and lead. Sometimes a man who is new to faith needs to hold a hammer, a frying pan, or a dishcloth before he is ready to teach the Bible or lead a committee. We disciple men through doing stuff.”
Jeff St Clair:
“The Mandarin United Methodist Men continue to inspire, nurture and serve others in ways I believe God desires! My teenage son and I are thankful to be a part of the Mandarin United Methodist Men!”
